Recovering bricked Redmi 12 (Fire) with SP Flash Tool

 Recovering a bricked Redmi 12 (Fire) with good ol' SP Flash Tool.

Hi, I just want to share this little piece of information. As the title suggest, here is a guide for Redmi 12 4G (fire) SP Flash tool. Original instructions by me is in the XDA Forums.

No Authentication file needed, and without any payments needed whatsoever.

Prerequisites 

1. Download this or newer version of SP Flash Tool, using older one wont work on my testing. (If you're using Linux, this may help: SP FLASH TOOL LINUX though the steps will still be similar—you just need your distro's version of these softwares below...)
2. Based on @VD171's Guide on the XDA Forums, you would want to:

•       2a. Download the attached file: VD171_MTK-bypass.zip.
•       2b. Extract the file and open the folder..
•       2c. Run and install python: python-3.9.1-amd64.exe.

Keep atention: You need to select "Add Python to PATH" before starting the installation.

•       2d. Open cmd or powershell and execute this command: pip install pyusb pyserial json5 
•       2e. Go to the Driver folder and right-click on the cdc-acm.inf file, then click Install and then, close window.
•       2f. Run and install filter wizard: libusb-win32-devel-filter-1.2.6.0.exe.
•       2g. Launch filter wizard.
•       2h. Select Install a device filter and click Next.
•       2i. Connect powered off phone with volume- button to boot in EDL mode.
•       2j. Once you see new MediaTek USB Port in the list, select it and click Install.

How to EDL bypass:

After doing the prerequisites, we must continue to setup our EDL bypass too.

1. Go to the Bypass folder. Run the script: bypass.bat.
2. Connect powered off phone with volume- button to boot in EDL mode.
3. Once you get "Protection disabled" at the end, without disconnecting phone and usb, run SP Flash Tool 
   
   
   
4. Once the SP Flash Tool opens, click Options > Options > Connection. Then, go to Options > General and disable LIB DA verification.
5. Select UART mode and select Baud rate to 921600.

Flashing the Stock ROM

1. Download firmware file from any reputable source, official one is from here.
2. Extract the file content to C:\ Drive or any path that does not contains spaces
3. Go to SPFlash Tool again, go to the main Download interface.
4. Locate the scatter file at .../images/MT6768_Android_scatter.xml
5. Press Download!
